Getting to the Festival
Greater Anglia trains
The nearest station is Colchester Town Station; this line goes to and from Liverpool Street which, is a 50-minute journey. This train also goes to Walton-on-the-Naze, which is a 40-minute journey. You can then get a taxi or a bus to the festival site. There is a possibility of a shuttle bus going from Colchester Town Station. On return, you will need to depart Colchester North Station, the last train leaves at 23:01. The last train from Colchester Town to Walton-on-the-Naze is 23:07.
Mersea Island is accessible by car however, during high tides the Strood will not be crossable for approx. an hour each side of the high tide. Do not try and cross if the Strood is covered.
If driving, the only place to park will be the festival car park.

This is located next to the festival field, your car park ticket will be scanned to allow access to the car park.
The number 67/ 68 bus, will be able to take you onto Mersea from Colchester. Buses depart from Colchester every half an hour to go to Mersea. This is a 45/50 minute journey. The last bus departs West Mersea High Street at 22:55 to take you back to Colchester. The nearest bus stop is on Dawes Lane which is 0.3 miles from the festival site, the road leading down to the festival does not have any paths or lighting and it is not recommended to walk along this route. Alternatively, get the bus to West Mersea High Street and then wait for the complimentary shuttle service to the festival site and vice versa on return.
If living on Mersea, there will be a complimentary shuttle service running to take you to and from the festival site. This will be covering the majority of West Mersea, the full route to be confirmed.

Air BnB: There are currently only two options for the night of the festival on Mersea Island at £123 per night. Book early to avoid disappointment.
There are a number of holiday parks on Mersea that offer the option to camp or bring your caravan/ motorhome. Some also allow you to hire static homes or camping pods. To explore these options:

Waldegraves and Mersea Island Holiday Park are all within walking distance of a pick-up point for the shuttle service. If staying at Coopers Beach or Fen Farm
it would be advisable to book the car park or a taxi.

Most would require you to make your own way to the festival, either by taxi or car. If staying at St Nicholas Hotel, you will be able to take a short walk to the
shuttle bus from Colchester Town Station, at extra cost. Prices of rooms range from £90 – £170 per night around the festival dates.
